Complaint letter

26th of November 2013

Dear director:

I am writing to inform you of my dissatisfaction with the cartoons for the childrens in the TV.

I saw that my younger sister start having very violent reactions when she start watching this program in your channel. She is 6 years old and is very quiet, but know she have very bad attitude and is going to psycological sessions. I watch this cartoon and I found it very violent for the childrens of that age.

To solve this problem I will ask you if could be possible to change the hour of this cartoons because all childrens watch TV at that hour and I think this cartoons are not good for them.

I hope you can do something about this,

Thanks.

Tattoos are judged negatively because of previous owners, as they used to solely belong to the skin of prisoners and pirates. They were a mark of pride to prove to the community of their criminal reputation.

In class I learnt that the people with tattoos are very stereotyped. Some people tattoes their bodys for having a piece of art, other people for a cultural thing, other people because of their religion and some others that do it because that tattoo represente something for him.

For many years people saw tattoos as a sign of rebellion. Now most tattooed people see their tattoos as unique aspects of themselves , while no single explanation accounts for the increasing popularity of tattoos, researches find that people use tattoos to express who they are and how the see themselves in relation to the others.
http://thenewtattoosubculture2009.wikispaces.com/file/view/why+do+people+get+tattoos.pdf

I think that the tattoos are very stereotyped by the people. Someones think that are a bad thing and that the peoples with tattos are criminals, bad persons or that kind of things, but I dont think like that people. The tatto of the picture I think is of a woman and she do it because that represent something special for her and is a something symbolic.

Opinion Piece. Tattoos

The tattoos in this times are more used by the people. In some places the tattos are part of the religion , beliefs or cultural traditions.

In Chile, for example, thats not the case, the people just like tattoos only and they do this because they consider tattoos a piece of art or like a type or fashion that look beautiful.

In my opinion, I am agree with this people that think that tattoos are art. I like a lot the tattoos and I am totally disagree with that people that see tattoos as something bad or the people that think the ones with tattoos are bad people.

Fighting with Parkinson using Alternative medicine

The Parkinson affects commonly to older adults , above 50 years , but can appear at a younger age. It is a degenerative neurological disorder that affects in the control of body movements. I think alternative medicine is better than conventional for Parkinson , because this disease has no cure, so therapies and other supplements of alternative medicine may help you with this disease that will be with you for the rest of your life.

The alternative medicine is better than conventional because it helps you with long therapies , and is a disease that have no cure so I think conventional meidine is worst , because you spend a lot of money in pilds and that things and at the final I think is the same result but with this medicine(alternative) you spend less money than conventional and the result is the same.

In my opinion the best medicine for the Parkinson disease is the Alternative, it is less expensive , more effective in all ways and therapies and other supplements will help the patient with the disease.

Guideline

How to do a Kong Vault in Parkour

In this guideline I will explain how to do a Kong Vault. First , for you to know the Parkour is a sport that you practice in the street , and consist in jumping things and doing tricks. But in this guideline I will explain the best way to do a Kong Vault.

For this trick and this sport in general , you have to to move fast and you need to be strong , because in this sport you need to use your arms a lot.
You need to use comfortable clothes , like trainers to run , a sport t-shirt , and shorts.

The best way to do the Kong Vault , is first practicing without runing , until you feel you are ready to do it runing , you will do this trick very good ,  because you must be confident in this sport.

The Kong Vault consist in running and jumping over a wall not very high , and falling in the wall with your arms and then jumping with the arms falling on the floor.

To do this trick you have to go running very fast , then jump a long distance forward and high , at the same time you need to bend your body forward to fall with your arms , and finally you need to do a lot of force to jump with your arms and finish the trick.

Research- Parkinson

1.- What are the characteristics of this illness or upheaval?

Parkinson affects commonly to older adults, above 50 years, but can appear at a younger age. Is a progressive disease, a degenerative neurological disorder  that affects in the control of your body movement and lead you to start shaking and have difficulty with walking, movement and coordination. Is one of the most common nervous system disorders . According to the Northwest Parkinson’s foundation in 2010 it afflicts over 1 million people. Each person is affected differently and the rate of progression varies greatly between individuals.

2.- Why does it occur?

Parkinson’s occurs when certain nerve cells in a part of the brain called “substantia nigra” die or become impaired normally, these cells produce a vital chemical known as “dopamine”. When approximately 70% of the dopamine producing cells are damaged , the sumptoms of Parkinson disease appear.

3.- What are the most common symptoms?

The first symptom of  Parkinson is trembling or shaking, this start on one part of the body usually in hands. Also can affect on your arms , legs , feet or face.
Other symptom is that you start moving slower. This symptoms become worst over the time.

4.- What types of treatment or therapy can a patient use? How long do they take? What are their pros and cons?

Surgery may be a option for some patients. These injuries do not cure Parkinson’s but may help with symptoms. Support groups may help with the changes caused by disease.
Most people respond to medications . How much medications relieve symptoms, and for how long can be very different in each person.

5.- What are the real possibilities of recovery if using this type of medicine?

Parkinson is a progressively degenerative disease that don’t have a cure.
The alternative medicine  provide supplements, formulas or other alternatives that help you manage the disease while you progressively degenerate for the rest of your life.

6.- What type of remedies can a patient take?

The optimal combination of treatments depends upon the person’s signs and symptoms , age, stage and activity. There are six main types of medications available to treat symptoms of Parkinson’s disease:
Levadopa , dopamine agonists , inhibitors of enzymes that inactivate dopamine , anticholinergics , and amantadine. Estrogen may be recommended for postmenopausal women with Parkinson.

7.- What are the costs involved?

The combined direct and indirect costs Parkinson’s, including treatment , social security payments and lost income from inability to work is estimated to be nearly $25 billion per year in the United States. Medications costs for an individual person with Parkinson average $2.500 a year and therapeutic surgery can cost up to $100.000 dollars per patient.

8.- Do health programs in Chile cover this treatment expenses? How about health programs of the USA, UK, New Zealand, Australia or any European country?

In Chile exist a program of  the government  called Auge-Ges , that cover 69 diseases and Parkinson’s is the number 62 in the list.
This program consist that any person that belong to the public system (fonasa) or private system of health (isapre) and have this disease can use it.  But is necessary go to a specific place indicated by the program of health that you have (public or private).
In others countries like New Zealand , all people that born in the country  have access free health.

In Australia the treatment of Parkinson’s is similar with Chile but only because the places assigned for the treatment are free. And in this country all diseases are covered by the government.

                                    Alternative medicine vs Conventional medicine

The alternative medicine is less expensive than conventional because is a natural type of medicine.

The conventional medicine consists more in taking pills that help you with a pain in specific and not with  the disease in general. Also this pills can have secondary effects in your body and can end worst than before.

The alternative medicine is more with natural things, like herbs, plants . Some of this are for a pain in specific, and anothers you have to do a large treatment for a disease in specific.

I prefer the alternative medicine because is less expensive and also more effective. Is natural and dont have any secondary effects because is all natural and you can take this medicine whitout that problems.

The alternative medicine is less epensive, more effective and are natural things. The conventional medicine help you with a pain in specific taking pills.
